No prob Cliff. They performed little shop of horrors at our school, it was put on by the seniors. I thought they would suck, but they did excellent casting, and it was actually pretty funny.

Darling, if it plays anywhere near us, of course I shall! ;D Oh yippie skippy! ;D ;D ;D EDIT: On a side note, my first computer was a 1995 Compaq Prisario. It had a few games, and one of them was King's Quest VII. There was this one part in the game where you would enter a graveyard level, and right outside the graveyard, there was a swamp and a place called the "Forbiden Woods". Anyway, there was this three-headed talking venus fly trap that would talk to your character and try to coax you over to it. One of the heads talked in a winny voice, another in a deep voice...But the main one had an Audry II voice! ^^ It was so funny! There were two characters that you could play in the game. The Queen mother, and her daughter. (don't remember their names exactly...) Anyway, if you played the daughter, and clicked your icon on the plant to move your character closer to the plant...The three-headed plant would snatch you up and eat you whole. And then a little crown icon would appear on the the main plant with the Audry II voice and he would lick his lips and say, "Mmmmmm....Must have been a Princess..." ^^ LOL! It was so funny! Whenever I got to that point in the game where I would run into the three-headed plant, I would always want my character to expire! (That's what a game over was called in King's Quest...It would say, "Your character has expired") Anyway, it was a fun game. I still have the disk and hope to load it into my own computer someday and play it once more. ^^

Yes, the coveted role of Seymour.
Back in my freshman year of HS, I wanted to do "Little Shop" for our school play. I was outvoted, and we did "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe." Fun, but not as fun as "Little Shop."
Speaking of which, if you know the movie by heart, you're in for a bit of a shock when you listen to the soundtrack. My only guess is that it was finished before they went baxck and re-shot the ending.
First off, the narrator at the very beginning ("On the 23rd day in the month of September....") is a different guy than they used in the film. This dude's got more of a gravelly voice, kinda like the guy who does those "In a world gone mad!!" movie trailers.
Secondly, there's the songs. The next to the last song on the soundtrack --"The Meek Shall Inherit," "Mean, Green Mother"-- are greatly different from the film.
"Meek" features Seymour's anguish at all this sudden fame. Should he sign the contracts, it means more killing. But if he doesn't, he feels that he could lose Audrey forever. It's an excellent song, and I wish that they did leave it in. But, I was able to see it in action on the stage, which did rock. (The dude who played Orin played every sleazy executive; yes, even the old lady)
"Mean, Green Mother," on the other hand, features more...dialouge, I guess, from Twoey, comparing him/her/itself to King Kong and Frankenstien, as well as a bit different dialouge before the "but your balls" line.
Finally, there's the finale, performed by the chorus, called "Don't Feed the Plants." It's a cautionary song, made to play over the deleted Twoey rampage scene, and, quite possibly, the credits. It states that the plants may offer you fame, fortune, and glory, but for God's sake, don't listen to them! Don't feed the plants! It's a bit short, and I wish it were longer, but it's still good, all the same.
If you can find it, definitely pick it up. It's well worth it, but you have to improv the spoken dialouge in the songs in order to get the full effect. I kept having to hit the pause button during "Feed Me (Get It!)" to satisfy my "Little Shop" experience.
Now, I have to find the Broadway recording. That's sure to have a lot more dialouge, as well as all the other songs ("It's the Gas," "Closed for Renovations (The Rose Bowl)," and "Mushnik & Son") that are really enjoyable.

Speaking of which, if you know the movie by heart, you're in for a bit of a shock when you listen to the soundtrack. My only guess is that it was finished before they went baxck and re-shot the ending. Yeah, all soundtracks have a few things that are different than the music in the movie... Like the Ghostbusters soundtrack, for instance. When I bought it, I thought that Elmer Bernstein's "Main Title Theme (Ghostbusters)" would be the same as the one in the movie. I thought it would have the music for when Walter Peck walks in with the cease and desist act to shut down the power grid, and the music for when the librarian walks down the steps to put books away...But none of that was in the soundtrack...And the "Main Tittle Theme" sounded completely different than what I had originally expected it to sound like... It was still a good song on the soundtrack...I just thought it would have more to it... EDIT: Oh also, in the King's Quest VII game...The main head on the three-headed plant says "feed me" when you walk up to it for the first time in an Audrey II voice. ^^ EDIT: I was just serfin' the net and found this really great interview on Frank Oz. You guys should read it....I mean the whole thing is really interesting. ^^ filmforce.ign.com/articles/035/035841p1.html
